In this piece, I explored first my escapism through some spontaneous charcoal drawings whilst listening to music in the background that helped me to immerse in the process and imagination. As well, going back and forth with sculpture and drawing which furthered the exploration of both mediums in an ever-developing process.
Throughout the process of escaping, certain prompts and aspects were influencing the work such as: vast, space, anomaly, light and dark, nature, and dark fantasy, amongst others. By using the concept of escapism as my exploratory route it led me to the act of materialization and dematerialization of my subjects.
